RoscoLive v2.42.0

Hey RoscoLive, we just released version v2.42.0 today! 🎉

✨ New Features

Stop Report

A new table-based report under Fleet Activity that provides comprehensive visibility into vehicle stop activity. Each stop is categorized as either an Idle Stop (engine running, vehicle stationary) or a True Stop (engine off), with duration, location, and long-stop exception indicators.

What's New

  • Collapsed fleet summary view showing total stops per vehicle
  • Expandable per-stop detail view with stop type, duration, start/end time, and location
  • CSV export for compliance and payroll workflows
  • Long-stop exception flagging for regulatory reporting

Why It Matters
Fleet managers can now identify excessive idle time, verify driver rest compliance, and reconcile stop activity against schedules all from a single report without needing to cross-reference trips or GPS history manually.

Screenshot 2026-06-11 105718

IFTA Report - Asset View & Fleet View

The existing IFTA (International Fuel Tax Agreement) Report has been expanded with two new tabs alongside the original view, giving fleet managers more granular and aggregated perspectives on cross-state mileage.

What's New

  • Asset Breakdown by State: Per-state distance broken down by individual vehicle/asset
  • Fleet Breakdown by State: Total fleet distance aggregated by state across all vehicles
  • Both new views support the existing Automate Report (scheduled email delivery) and Export (CSV download) features
  • Seamless tab switching between All, Asset Breakdown, Fleet Breakdown

Why It Matters
IFTA quarterly filing requires accurate state-by-state mileage data. Previously, managers had to manually calculate per-asset or fleet-wide totals. These new views eliminate that manual work, reduce filing errors, and save hours of preparation each quarter.

Screenshot 2026-06-16 090930

SD Card Remaining Life

SD card health monitoring is now visible to all external users, with proactive notifications when cards are nearing end of life.

What's New

  • Color-coded health badges on the Assets page: Healthy (green), Replace Soon (orange), End of Life (red)
  • New SD Card Health notification setting under Notification Preferences
  • Automated email and/or SMS alerts when wear level drops below 10% or reaches 0%

Why It Matters
Proactive alerts give fleet managers time to schedule replacements before data loss occurs, protecting both drivers and the business.

Reusable Custom User Settings

Fleet managers can now save custom user permission as reusable templates, streamlining the process of onboarding new users with consistent access levels.

What's New

  • Save a Custom User's permission configuration as a named template
  • When creating a new user, select from a dropdown of previously saved profiles
  • All toggles, permissions, and preferences are auto-populated from the selected template
  • Templates can be updated or deleted as organizational needs change

Why It Matters
Companies with multiple user roles (dispatchers, safety managers, regional admins) previously had to manually configure dozens of toggles for each new user, a tedious and error-prone process. Templates ensure consistency across users in the same role and reduce onboarding time from minutes to seconds.

Screenshot 2026-06-16 090329

Parking Mode for High G-Sensor Alerts

A new configuration option that allows DV6 users to enable impact detection while vehicles are parked and fine-tune the sensitivity threshold to match their environment.

What's New

  • New toggle to enable/disable parking-mode High G-Force detection
  • Adjustable sensitivity slider (Low → High) to control the G-force threshold that triggers an event
  • Settings configurable per profile, allowing different sensitivity levels for different fleet segments

Why It Matters
Parked vehicles are vulnerable to hit-and-run incidents, vandalism, and environmental damage. This feature captures critical video evidence of parking lot impacts while giving fleet managers control over sensitivity to avoid false alerts from minor vibrations or nearby traffic.

Screenshot 2026-06-16 091155

Smaller Vehicle Icons

A new display option that lets users reduce the size of vehicle icons on the map, addressing feedback from dense fleets where overlapping icons made it difficult to distinguish individual vehicles.

What's New

  • New Icon Size dropdown in device display settings with two options: Regular and Small
  • Small icons reduce visual clutter while maintaining all interactive functionality (click, hover, tooltip)
  • Setting is saved per user and persists across sessions

Why It Matters
Fleets with hundreds of vehicles concentrated in urban areas or depot locations experienced significant icon overlap, making the map unusable for identifying specific vehicles. Smaller icons restore map readability without sacrificing any functionality.

Escalated Alerts for Drowsiness/Head Down Events

An intelligent escalation system that reduces alert fatigue by only notifying fleet managers when clustered drowsiness or head-down risk is detected, rather than on every individual event.

What's New

  • Escalation logic triggers when 2 events occur within 5 minutes or 3 events within 30 minutes
  • Only escalated clusters generate fleet manager notifications isolated single events are recorded but do not trigger alerts

Why It Matters
Individual drowsiness or head-down events can be momentary and benign, but clusters indicate a driver in genuine danger. This feature ensures fleet managers are alerted when it truly matters — when a driver is showing sustained signs of fatigue while eliminating the noise of one-off detections that previously led to alert fatigue and ignored notifications.

Event Feedback for Fleet Managers

The thumbs-down feedback feature on event videos and snapshots previously limited to internal and admin users is now available to Fleet Manager roles.

What's New

  • Fleet Managers can now flag false-positive events using the thumbs-down button on any event video or snapshot
  • Feedback is submitted directly to the AI analysis pipeline for model improvement
  • Available on both the Events Page detail view and the Home Page event cards

Why It Matters
Fleet managers are the closest to real-world driving conditions and are best positioned to identify when an AI-detected event is a false positive. Their feedback directly improves detection accuracy over time, leading to fewer false alerts and more trustworthy safety scoring for the entire platform.

✨Improvements

Camera Block vs Camera Misalignment Separation

Camera Block and Camera Misalignment are now treated as distinct event types with clearer labeling and improved AI classification.

What's New

  • Renamed to "Driver Camera Blocked" and "Camera Misaligned" for clarity
  • AI-based reclassification reduces false positives by distinguishing between intentional obstruction and physical misalignment
  • Each event type can be independently configured in profiles and notifications

Why It Matters
These two conditions have very different operational implications — a blocked camera may indicate tampering, while misalignment is typically a maintenance issue. Separating them allows fleet managers to prioritize and respond appropriately to each.

Screenshot 2026-06-16 092551

Snapshot Clips UI Redesign

The snapshot viewing experience has been streamlined by replacing the channel-selection modal with an inline multi-channel layout.

What's New

  • All available camera channels are displayed simultaneously in a grid view
  • No more clicking through a modal to switch between channels
  • Faster cross-channel comparison for incident review

Why It Matters
When reviewing a snapshot event, managers often need to see multiple camera angles quickly. The previous modal-based workflow added unnecessary clicks and slowed down the review process. The inline view enables instant side-by-side comparison.

"Both" Audio Option for In-Cab Alerts

Events that support both chime and voice alerts now offer a combined "Both" option, allowing fleets to play chime and voice together.

What's New

  • New "Both" option in the audio alert dropdown for supported events
  • Plays the chime tone immediately followed by the voice announcement

Why It Matters
Some fleets found that chime-only alerts were too easy to ignore, while voice-only alerts lacked the immediate attention-grab of a tone. The combined option provides both an instant auditory cue and a clear verbal instruction, improving driver response rates.

Data Usage Notifications ON by Default

"Device High Data Usage" and "Data Pool Warning" notifications are now enabled by default for all new Fleet Manager accounts.

What's New

  • Both notification types are automatically toggled on during account creation
  • Existing accounts are not affected — this applies to new accounts only
  • Users can still disable them in Notification Preferences

Why It Matters
Data overages can result in unexpected costs. New fleet managers were previously unaware of these notification options and often didn't enable them until after an overage occurred. Defaulting them on ensures proactive cost management from day one.

Wake-up/Sleep Mode ON by Default

Wake-up/Sleep Mode is now enabled by default for all default and custom profiles.

What's New

  • Automatically enabled on all new profiles
  • Improves reliability of over-the-air firmware updates
  • Enhances Continuous Video Recording (CVR) consistency

Why It Matters
Devices with Wake-up/Sleep Mode disabled could miss firmware update windows and produce gaps in CVR footage. Enabling it by default ensures devices are reachable for updates and maintain consistent recording behavior without requiring manual profile configuration.

✨New Features

PulseCore and PulseTen

PulseTen and PulseCore Asset Tracker Integration introduces non-vehicle asset visibility within RoscoLive, allowing customers to view location history for trailers, containers, generators, and other equipment directly on the map alongside vehicle fleets. Phase 1 focuses on surfacing location pings from PulseTen and PulseCore asset trackers, displaying lightweight trail history based on device reporting frequency, and enabling users to track recent movement and last known location through the existing RoscoLive map.

PulseTen and PulseCore asset tracking devices must be purchased separately. For more information, please contact our Sales team at videomatics@roscovision.com.

CH1 Calibration box

ADAS calibration overlay support is now available for CH1 across Live Stream, Event Video Playback, and Event Snapshots. Users can press the calibration button to display a horizontal alignment line and visual calibration markers on the road-facing camera to assist with camera positioning and calibration verification.

Speed Sensitivity Slider

We’re introducing configurable speed sensitivity thresholds for DMS events, allowing fleets to better control when driver monitoring events trigger based on vehicle speed.

Events Updated
• DMS – Yawning (5–35 MPH)
• DMS – Dozing (5–35 MPH)
• DMS – Distraction (5–35 MPH)
• DMS – Seatbelt (5–35 MPH)
• DMS – Camera Blocked/Misaligned (5–35 MPH)
• DMS – Phone Use (0–35 MPH)
• DMS – Smoking (0–35 MPH)

Data Max Overage Enhancements

Updated the company data pool allocation logic to automatically provision additional data capacity when new vehicles are added after the start of the monthly billing cycle. Improvements were also made to the handling of mid-month vehicle additions for Data Max overage calculations to ensure more accurate usage tracking and billing behavior.

Shareable Event Video Links

Secure, shareable direct links for event video clips are now available within the RoscoLive Events experience. Users can quickly copy and share video links without downloading large video files, with support for customizable subject lines when sharing videos. Shared links can be pasted into a browser to directly access and play the video.

Config Audit Log Enhancement

The new Config Audit Log provides improved visibility into profile and configuration pushes to devices. Users can now review configuration push history, including Date/Time, Last Updated By, Profile Name, and Config File Pushed. Configurations pushed manually outside of profile assignments are identified with “Manual” under the Profile Name column. The Config Audit Log is also available as a column filter option for easier table customization and visibility.

Device Time & Camera Status Improvements

Device time monitoring is now available to help identify cameras with incorrect time settings. Devices with persistent time synchronization issues will display a new “Incorrect Device Time” camera status and generate notifications for improved visibility and troubleshooting. The “Channel Status” column on the Vehicles page has also been renamed to “Camera Status” for better clarity. Time-related warnings automatically clear once the device time is corrected.

Paired GO Device Report

The new “Paired GO Device Report” is now available under Standard Reports and includes paired device details such as Camera Name, GO Device Group, and IMEI/SN information. This report provides improved visibility into camera-to-GO device associations and paired device inventory.

Idling status

A new “Idling” vehicle status is now available to provide better visibility into vehicles that are powered on but not actively driving. This helps fleets more easily distinguish between active driving, parked, and idle operational states while maintaining continuous recording behavior during idle periods.

The “Idling” status is now visible on the Home Page, Vehicles Page and within Geotab Camera Admin and Live Video tabs. Devices continue recording normally while in Idling mode.

image-20250819-181701.png

Events Settings Navigation Improvements

The Events Settings page has been reorganized to improve usability as additional DV7 AI events continue to expand. Event settings are now grouped into dedicated categories — ADAS Features, DMS Features, Safety Features, and Multichannel Features — with a new navigation bar that allows users to switch more easily between event types without excessive scrolling.

Improved Address Detail Accuracy
Improved reverse geocoding results to return more detailed and accurate address information across the platform. Addresses will now include richer location details such as street number, street name, city, state, neighborhood, and country where available, instead of only a formatted address.

Continuous Trip Replay Playback
Enhanced the Trip Replay experience to automatically play consecutive trips in sequence without requiring manual trip selection. Users can now seamlessly replay all remaining trips for the day starting from any selected trip.

Enhanced Fleet Map Navigation & Re-Centering
Improved the fleet map experience with faster and smoother navigation controls. Selecting an asset now automatically zooms into the vehicle for quicker access, while a new fleet view option allows users to instantly return to the full fleet map view from any zoom level or vehicle-focused view.

RoscoLive v2.37.0

Hey RoscoLive, we just released version v2.37.0 today! 🎉

✨New Features

Interstate Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA) Report

You can now generate IFTA reports directly from the Standard Reports page in RoscoLive. This report shows the total distance your vehicles traveled in each state, helping you easily prepare your monthly fuel tax submissions.

Key Functionality:

  • Distance Summary: Report displays total distance traveled across all jurisdictions within a selected date range.

  • Unit Settings: Distance units will match your user settings (Miles or Kilometers).
  • CSV Export: Downloadable in CSV format for easy submission and record-keeping.
  • Date Range: Defaults to the first of the month through today, but can be customized.
  • Vehicle Selection Required: “Run New Report” becomes active only after selecting at least one vehicle.
  • Report Status: Button displays a “Generating report…” message while the report is processing.
  • Saved Reports: The most recently generated IFTA report remains visible each time you return to the page.
  • Scheduling: Set up recurring report emails for automatic delivery.

Additional filters allow sorting by date, vehicle, group, and jurisdiction for detailed insights.

Note: Please refresh the page to view this report. We are actively working to improve this experience and expect enhancements to be available in the upcoming release. We appreciate your continued support and understanding.

Ignition Switch Only Toggle in Device Settings

A new toggle called Ignition Switch Only is now available in your device settings. This toggle is OFF by default.

Here’s how it works:

  • When OFF (default): The DV can power on in “OBD Mode” when voltage rises, even without the ignition wire connected.
  • When ON: The DV will only power on with the ignition, regardless of voltage level.

Enabling this setting is restrictive and may prevent the DV from powering on in certain installation setups. Only enable it if you’re certain the ignition wiring is connected and reliable.

🛠️ Improvements

DMS Video Uploads: Now Snapshot-Only by Default

After reviewing system data, we found that many DMS event videos are uploaded but never viewed. This contributes to higher data costs and unnecessary cloud usage. To address this, changes will roll out in two phases:

  • All default profiles across RoscoLive will now have DMS events set to upload snapshots only by default. This applies to both existing and future companies using the default profile. You can still request full video for any event or update settings as needed.
  • Customer-created profiles will also default DMS events to snapshot only, unless the company chooses to opt out.

User Feedback Visibility and Indicators

You’ll now see the following updates when working with Event Feedback in RoscoLive:

  • Events with Feedback Stay Visible: After leaving feedback on an event, it will remain in your Events list by default instead of disappearing.
  • Default Feedback Filter Update: The Feedback filter is now enabled by default, so you can continue viewing events that already have feedback without needing to adjust your settings.
  • New Feedback Icon: Events that have received feedback will now display a visual indicator in the list view, giving you quick visibility at a glance.

These changes help ensure important events with feedback stay accessible for your team’s ongoing review and collaboration.

Total Distance Travelled by a vehicle in a Day

When Route History panel is open for a vehicle, the total distance traveled value is displayed at the top just beneath the date picker. Users also have the option to select a preferred unit for Distance.

RoscoLive v2.36.0

Hey RoscoLive, we just released version v2.36.0 today! 🎉

Here's what we've done in this release:

✨ NEW FEATURES

Review Events

3

4

We’ve introduced new collaboration tools to make event reviews in RoscoLive smoother and more intuitive for teams. Selecting Note opens a window where you can view or update feedback related to the event.

This includes:

  • Created By: Displays the name of the person who first created and saved the note. If no notes exist, this will be blank.
  • Last Updated: Shows when the note was last edited. This field also remains blank if no notes are present.
  • Mark as Reviewed: Visible only to users with the appropriate permissions to leave review notes.

Event table now has the Last Reviewed and Last Reviewed By columns to filter reviewed columns globally.

Expanded Grid View

  • Each snapshot now includes a dropdown drawer that reveals additional event details and associated notes.
  • Clicking the chevron expands the drawer. If there is no review, it will simply appear blank.

Scroll Zoom for Event Playback and Snapshots

Screenshot 2025-06-11 134615

You can now zoom in on video playback and snapshots using your mouse scroll wheel, similar to pinch-and-zoom on mobile.

  • Ideal for multiplexed views with multiple camera feeds in a single frame.
  • Allows users to focus on specific areas without losing clarity.

Snapshot-Only Option for Custom Video Requests

544132a5-71d3-4ebf-bd71-1755b43afd68
You can now request snapshots instead of full video when submitting a Custom Video request. This feature is idea for quickly reviewing a specific timeframe without downloading the entire clip. Snapshots are faster to upload and use less data. Request a single snapshot or a series for a concise visual summary.

For Snapshot-Only Requests:

  • Duration must be between 5 minutes and 1 hour.
  • All snapshots will be returned as a single event for easier viewing.
  • This feature is Disabled by default. It will remain disabled if your selected vehicle is not using a DV6 device.
  • When you click to view them, you’ll see a multi-snapshot viewer, showing all returned snapshots in one easy-to-navigate modal.

Individual Channel View for VX1 Channel

VX1

Screenshot 2025-06-16 at 12.57.24 AM

We’re making it easier to manage and view DUAL-multiplexed camera channels by treating the second cropped view as its own separate video channel.

  • You’ll now see second cropped channel as an individual stream in both event video playback and live view.
  • When exporting video, a ZIP file will include the cropped channel as a separate MP4, making it easier to review or share specific views.
  • If audio is enabled for Channel 3, it will play when viewing that channel and be included in all cropped MP4s during export.
  • Additional Channel Settings option in the Settings Profile lets you enable or change how VX1 multiplexed channels are split.

🔧 IMPROVEMENTS

Updated Event Display Panel on the Home Page

Screenshot 2025-06-16 at 12.10.06 AM

Previously, the event display panel was limited to showing only the latest 10 events per day for a selected device. With this update:

  • We've introduced scrolling pagination and a "See More" button.
  • Users can now load additional events for the selected device and date.
  • This provides more complete event history access without overwhelming the interface.

Distinguish Driving vs. Parking Mode in Timeline

Screenshot 2025-06-18 111055

We’re updating the video timeline to visually differentiate between Driving and Parking Mode footage. This enhancement helps users quickly identify what mode the camera was in during video capture.

Enhanced Custom Video Request Experience

Screenshot 2025-06-16 at 12.41.10 AM

Allow User to Input Duration

We're making the Duration field editable, that allows users to specify how long they want the video to be, starting from the selected Start Time. The End Time can now be automatically calculated based on the entered Duration.

ADAS Settings Adjustment Notice

Dear RoscoLive User,

You may have noticed an increase in ADAS events being reported to you through RoscoLive in the last few days. Over the weekend, we made some adjustments to our algorithms to enhance their performance. These changes have resulted in a larger number of events being reported within RoscoLive. To ensure that you are not overwhelmed by these extra notifications, we have adjusted the system settings as follows:

- The sensitivity gauge has been set to a less sensitive position.

- The speed gauge has been set to 34 MPH for the minimum value.

As always, you have the ability to further adjust these settings according to your preferences to best suit your fleet's needs.

Sincerely,
